Enjoy the comfort of these pumps in our pool accessories store.
What are submersible pumps?
Submersible pumps are pumps that are established at the bottom of the pool to pump water from it, or to pump wastewater or drain any type of water. Unlike the surface pumps these pumps are quiet, more efficient and require less maintenance.
Depending on the type of pump, it can be equipped to be used in both automatic and manual mode.
Depending on the type of water you want to drain, one pump or another will be used since not all of them are suitable for any type of water. There are several types of pump that are used depending on how the water is:
- Waste water: suspended solids of a maximum of 25 mm in size (soil or sand).
- Clean water: impurities smaller than 5 mm in diameter.
- Waste with suspended solids: suspended solids greater than 25 mm. This pump breaks down the acquired solids so they can be drained easily.
What type of pump do I buy?
Before buying a pump you should know which one best suits the characteristics of your pool to buy it. The factors to take into account are:
- Know thetype of water that you want to pump since, as we have said before, not just any pump is suitable for its use.
- Look at the capacity of the water pump. The capacity of the pumps varies from 7,500 liters/hour to 18,000
- Know the maximum depth that the submersible pump can support in order to perform its function correctly (height between 8 and 5 m).
How do submersible pumps work?
The pumps have a suction grille that absorbs the water passing through its body to the part where the water is expelled through the use of a hose or pipe.
It is important to use them with water, since dry operation puts the pump at risk.
