How a pool heat pump works

A pool heat pump uses the heat contained in the air through an evaporator. The fan located outside the pump circulates the air. The “Freon” fluid that circulates inside the evaporator goes from a liquid state to a gasified state. This gas is compressed at high pressure by the compressor. So the heat from the gas is transferred to the condenser where the Freon resumes its liquid form and it is during this phase that the very hot gas transmits its heat to the pool water through the exchanger.

In summary, the cycle would be: compressor -> capacitor -> expansion valve -> evaporator.
